Director • Cinematographer • Editor
Founder, The Orange Booth
Siddhi Patel is a filmmaker, director and editor whose work has taken her from intimate wedding celebrations to Netflix Originals, international fashion films and award-winning independent cinema.
As the Director of Photography on both seasons of Netflix's The Big Day, she documented some of the world's most spectacular celebrations with a cinematic, documentary approach. Her experience also includes wedding and fashion films for Manish Malhotra, Vogue India, and luxury brands, where storytelling and emotion always came before spectacle.
Through a creative collaboration between Map Sense Media and The Orange Booth, Siddhi now brings that same cinematic approach to weddings across Canada. From creative direction through post-production, every film is thoughtfully crafted to feel timeless, personal, and deeply authentic, preserving not just how the day looked, but how it felt.
"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

Wedding films for Map Sense Media are produced with The Orange Booth Motion Pictures, a partnership between an Abbotsford commercial studio and a wedding film team, covering weddings across Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley, Surrey and Vancouver. Crews are full-time commercial filmmakers rather than weekend hires, which is why the coverage is directed like a film shoot: planned camera positions, controlled audio for vows and speeches, and colour grading finished in the same suite that handles brand work. Coverage typically spans preparation, ceremony, portraits and reception, with a second shooter where the venue or guest count requires one. Multi-day South Asian celebrations are a regular part of the calendar and are scheduled as separate shoot days. Enquiries are answered from the Abbotsford studio at 32835 South Fraser Way, and dates are held only once a signed agreement is in place.
A wedding film package from Map Sense Media and The Orange Booth Motion Pictures includes a planning call before the date, a documented shoot schedule agreed with the couple and the venue, filmed coverage on the day, dedicated audio capture for vows and speeches, colour grading, licensed music, and delivery of a highlight film with longer ceremony and speech edits. Additional shoot days, a second or third shooter, drone coverage where airspace rules permit, same-day edits shown at the reception, and photography can be added to the same package. Every inclusion, the number of filming hours, the delivery timeline and the revision rounds are written into the agreement before the date is held. Raw footage retention and the couple's usage rights are stated in the same document, so nothing about the deliverable depends on a verbal promise.
Map Sense Media and The Orange Booth Motion Pictures film weddings throughout British Columbia as standard, including Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, Surrey, Richmond, Vancouver, Whistler and the Okanagan, and travel further across Canada and internationally when the booking covers travel and accommodation. Venues inside the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver carry no travel charge. For destinations beyond that radius, travel, flights and accommodation are quoted as separate line items in the agreement before the date is confirmed, so the production fee and the travel cost are never blended into one unexplained number. Multi-day and multi-city celebrations are scheduled as individual shoot days with their own crew list. Enquiries about a specific venue are answered directly from the Abbotsford studio, including whether the team has filmed there before and what the site requires. Travel dates outside British Columbia are confirmed well in advance.
